Swipe44 vs Cleaner Kit - Clean Up Storage

Cleaner Kit - Clean Up Storage cleans photos, videos, email and contacts on iPhone. See how it compares with Swipe44 on price, ads and privacy.

Disclosure: Swipe44 is our app. This comparison is written honestly, including the places where Cleaner Kit is the better fit. Ratings and pricing are from the US App Store as of September 2026.

Quick answer

Cleaner Kit - Clean Up Storage by BP Mobile LLC, whose developer page reads BPMobile, is an all-in-one iPhone cleaner that has been on the App Store since 2017. It goes well past the camera roll: duplicate photos and videos, blurry shots, screenshots, video compression, bulk email deletion and duplicate contacts. The catch is the store page itself. Seven in-app purchase entries are listed at $4.99 to $6.99 with no billing period against any of them, and the privacy label declares six categories of data used to track you.

Swipe44 is a swipe-based camera roll cleaner. Swipe right to keep, left to delete. It works through Recents, Shuffle, By Month and By Week decks that resume where you stopped, finds duplicates on the device, and puts everything you swiped left in a pending pile you delete in one confirmation. It is free to download, with no ads and no account.

Cleaner Kit - Clean Up Storage does more if you want one app for videos, email and contacts as well as photos. Swipe44 is the narrower tool: photo cleanup with no ads, no account and a price you can read on the store page.

Where Cleaner Kit - Clean Up Storage wins

It cleans four things, not one. Its description covers duplicate photo and video removal, video compression that keeps visual quality, bulk email deletion grouped by date, sender or size, and duplicate contact merging with empty entries removed. Swipe44’s listing names photos and nothing else. Reviewers single out the email cleanup, and one reviewer says they cleared 10,000 emails in 30 seconds.

It looks for junk Swipe44’s listing does not mention. Blurry shots, screenshots, 4K videos, panoramas, short videos and screen recordings all have their own categories. Version 5.28, from August 2026, added an option to turn Live Photos into still images to free space. Swipe44 sorts what you swipe past. Its listing makes no claim about finding blurry photos or screenshots on its own.

On the App Store since 2017, and it still ships monthly. It holds 4.44 from 349,700 US ratings. Its recent version history runs to 25 entries, with a release in every month from October 2025 through September 2026. Swipe44 has been on the App Store since 2026, holds 5.00 from 6 US ratings, and was last updated in August 2026. Six ratings tell you very little; 349,700 tell you a lot.

It reaches more people. Fourteen languages against Swipe44’s one. It also has Siri Shortcuts for voice-driven cleanup, large fonts and a high-contrast interface for readers with vision impairments, a secret folder locked with Face ID or a passcode, and access to your existing Photos albums. Reviewers say it is quick and simple to use, and some add that it is approachable for older users.

Where Swipe44 wins

No ads, and every source agrees. Cleaner Kit’s US age rating is 4+ with the annotation Contains Advertising, while its Play listing reports no ads and its description makes no claim either way. Swipe44’s description says “No ads, no account needed”. Its age rating carries no advertising annotation, its privacy label lists no third-party advertising, and its Play listing reports no ads. Reviewers describe a rating prompt that blocks cleanup until you respond.

A privacy label that does not track you. Cleaner Kit’s label declares Purchases, Location, Identifiers, Usage Data, Diagnostics and Other Data used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, and lists Third-Party Advertising as a purpose for linked data. That label sits directly beside a description that says all AI processing happens on your iPhone only. Swipe44’s label has no tracking section at all: Identifiers, Usage Data, Diagnostics and Purchases appear only under Data Not Linked to You. Swipe44 keeps your photos on the device, with no account, and cloud-stored originals are never downloaded.

A price you can read before you tap. Swipe44’s Pro is $29.99 a year, with a one-time $19.99 introductory offer, or $2.99 a week. Cleaner Kit lists seven in-app purchase entries between $4.99 and $6.99, including two entries with the same name at two different prices, and the store page attaches no billing period to any of them. Its description says subscriptions are billed weekly or annually without saying which price is which. Reviewers call it free to download but not free to use, complain about billing such as being charged during a trial or struggling to cancel, and quote subscription figures that appear nowhere in the store’s purchase list.

iPad and Android. Swipe44 runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, and its Play package is confirmed. Cleaner Kit is iPhone only: not universal, no iPad build, no iPad screenshots. A Play listing exists under a similar name, but its developer is not stated, so we could not confirm it belongs to the same publisher.

Pricing

  • Swipe44 is free to download. Pro is $29.99 a year, with a one-time $19.99 introductory offer, or $2.99 a week, after a 7-day free trial.
  • Cleaner Kit - Clean Up Storage is free to download, and its description says the essential cleanup tools are free with optional upgrades. Its seven in-app purchase entries run $4.99 to $6.99, and its description says full access is billed weekly or annually. The store page does not say what each price covers.

A year of Swipe44 costs $29.99, or $19.99 with the introductory offer. A year of Cleaner Kit cannot be priced from its store page at all, because no listed price carries a billing period. That is the practical difference: one number you can check before you subscribe, and one you learn only inside the app.

Which one should you pick?

Pick Cleaner Kit - Clean Up Storage if you want one app for videos, email and contacts as well as photos, you need blurry-shot or screenshot detection, you want it in a language other than English, or you would rather trust an app on the App Store since 2017 with 349,700 US ratings behind it, and you are comfortable with an advertising-annotated age rating and a tracking privacy label.

Pick Swipe44 if you only want the camera roll cleaned, you want no ads and no account, you want the privacy label to match the privacy pitch, and you want to know what a year costs before you subscribe. It is the newer app with far fewer ratings, and its listing covers photos only.

Either way, work out what a clear-out is worth before you install anything. Our free duplicate photo space calculator estimates how much space your repeat shots are holding, and the camera roll cleanup estimator turns a photo count into gigabytes. Both run in the browser with no download. For more options, see our roundup of the best photo cleaner apps.
